एक बार की बात है, एक जंगल में एक बहुत बड़ा हाथी रहता था।
Once upon a time, there lived a huge elephant in a jungle.
वह घमंडी था और हमेशा उससे छोटे जानवरों को कम समझता था यानी को कुछ भी नहीं मानता था।
He was arrogant and always underestimated other creatures smaller than him.
उसी जंगल में एक चींटी रहती थी। हर सुबह भोजन की तलाश में जाती थी।
In the same jungle, there lived an ant, she used to go in search of food.
वह हमेशा हाथी को दूसरे जानवरों को परेशान करते हुए देखती।
She always saw the elephant bothering others creatures.
एक दिन, जब चींटी अपना भोजन एकत्रित करके वापस जा रही थी।
One day, when the ant was coming back to collect its food.
तब हाथी ने उस पर एक सूंड पानी छिड़क दिया।
The elephant sprayed a trunk full of water on it.
“तुम को इस तरह दूसरों को चोट नहीं पहुंचाने चाहिए” चींटी चिल्लाई।
“You shouldn’t hurt others creatures like this” cried the ant.
चुप रहो छोटी चीटी नहीं तो मैं तुम्हें मौत के घाट उतार दूंगा हाथी कहा।
“Shut up tiny ant or else, I will crush you to death,” said the elephant.
बेचारी चींटी चुप रही और अपने रास्ते चली गई।
The poor ant kept quiet and went on her way.
लेकिन उसने अभिमानी हाथी को सबक सिखाने का फैसला किया।
However, she decided to teach the proud elephant a lesson.
अगले दिन, जब हाथ सो रही थी नन्हीं चींटी धीरे से रेंगकर हाथी की सूंड में घुस गई और उसे काटने लगी।
The next day, when the elephant was sleeping, the tiny ant slowly crept into the elephant’s trunk and started biting him.
हाथी जाग गया और चींटी को अपनी सूंड से बाहर निकालने की हर कोशिश करने लगा
The elephant woke up and tried everything to get the ant out of his trunk.
हाथी रोने लगा और चींटी से क्षमा मांगने लगा।
The elephant started crying and begged sorry to the ant.
मुझे आशा है कि तुम समझ गए हो जब आप दूसरों को चोट पहुंचाते हैं तो दूसरे कैसे महसूस करते हैं “चींटी ने कहा “
I hope now, you understand how others feel.when you hurt them “said the ant.”
हां मैं मानता हूं ,हाथी रोया और चींटी से बाहर आने की विनती करने लगा।
“Yes, I do” Cried the elephant and pleaded with the ant to come out.
चींटी को हाथी पर दया आई और वह उसकी सूंड से बाहर आ गई। उस दिन के बाद से, हाथी ने कभी किसी जानवर को परेशान नहीं किया।
The ant took pity on the elephant and come out of his trunk. from that day onward, the elephant never troubled any creatures.
Moral of the story
कभी किसी को कम समझो ।
Never underestimate anyone.

एक कौआ बहुत प्यासा था ।
A crow was very thirsty.
वह पानी की तलाश में इधर-उधर उड़ा पर पानी कहीं दिखाई नहीं दिया ।
He flew around in search of water, but the water did not appear anywhere.
कुछ देर बाद उसने एक घड़ा देखा ।वह उस घड़े पर जा बैठा ।
After some time he saw a pitcher.He sat on that pitcher.
जब उसने अपनी चोंच घड़े के अंदर डाली तो उसने पाया की घड़े में पानी बहुत कम था ।
When he put his beak in it, he found that there was very little water in the pitcher.
उसकी चोंच पानी तक नहीं पहुँच सकी ।उसने एक तरकीब सोची ।
His beak could not reach the water.He thought up a trick.
पास ही उसने कुछ कंकड़ देखे ।उसने एक-एक करके कंकड़ उठाये और घड़े में डालने लगा ।
He saw some pebbles nearby.He picked up the pebbles one by one and started putting them in the pitcher.
थोड़ी देर में पानी घड़े के मुँह तक उठ आया ।कौए ने पानी पिया और अपनी प्यास बुझाई ।
After a while, water got up to the pitcher’s brim.The crow drank water and quenched his thirst

रामू एक दूधवाला है। उसके पास एक बड़ी काली गाय है।
Ramu is a milk man.He has a big black cows.
वह प्रतिदिन सुबह अपनी गाय का दूध निकालता और उसे बाजार में बेचता है।
He milks his cow every morning and sells it in the market.
वह धन को घर में लाता है और अपनी मां को देता है लेकिन उसकी मां उसे कभी पैसे नहीं देती हैं।
He brings the money to his house and gives it to his mother.But his mother never gives him money.
एक दिन रामू सुबह जल्दी उठता है और अपनी गाय का दूध निकालता है।
One day he gets up early in the morning and milks his cow.
उस समय उसकी मां सो रही होती है।वह अपनी मां को बिना बताए दूध को बाजार में बेच देता है।
At that time his mother is sleeping.He sells the milk in the market without telling his mother.
वह रास्ते में यह सोचता है कि वह अपनी मां को पूरा धन नहीं देगा।
On the way he thinks that he’ll not give all the money to his mother.
वह अपने लिए कुछ पैसे बचाएगा और कुछ समय बाद उसके पास काफी धन हो जाएगा।
He’ll save some money for himself and after some time he’ll have a lot of money.
वह उस धन से गाय और भैंस खरीदेगा और एक अमीर आदमी बन जाएगा।
He will buy cows and buffaloes with that money and one day he’ll become a rich man.
